Every Yukon Tent is made in our Surrey, BC workshop using materials we'd stake our name on. Here's exactly what goes into every canvas and frame we ship across Canada.

    Canvas

We use 10 oz unbleached, double-fill, preshrunk Army Duck canvas — the same industrial-grade fabric used in military and outfitter applications. It's heavy, tight, and built to breathe.

Every canvas is treated with Sunforger for a dry finish that resists:

    • Water and moisture
    • Rot, mold, and mildew
    • Flame (meets or exceeds CPAI-84 Section 7 for flame retardancy)

    Doors & windows

    • Front door: 6.5' × 3' with a double-zippered canvas privacy panel and inside zip-up insect mesh
    • Windows: 2' wide × 3' tall — one per sidewall — with mesh panel and outer canvas flap closure

    Structural details

    • Sod cloth: 12" perimeter sod cloth seals out drafts, insects, and groundwater
    • Grommets: Reinforced brass grommets at all ridge and eave points, double-hemmed with ¼" poly rope sewn in
    • Stitching: Double-stitched throughout with reinforced peaks, corners, and stress points
    • Carrying bag: Heavy-duty bag included for both canvas and frame

    Stove pipe jack

Every tent includes a 14" square, high-temperature silicon-coated stove pipe jack with a 6" reinforced opening. It can be roof-mounted or wall-mounted — you choose the position at time of order.

    Aluminum frame

Our frames are built from 1¾" seamless extruded aluminum with solid cast aluminum angle fittings that friction-fit onto the tubes. No tools required. No loose hardware to lose in the bush.

    • Lightweight and strong — resists corrosion and won't rust
    • Sets up and breaks down fast — one person can do it
    • Comes in a heavy-duty vinyl carrying bag
